Not all food is equal in Bologna and I think Hosteria San Carlino is a great example of the type of establishment that has made Bologna famous food. Ordered the ragu lasagne and lemon tortellini with the house red and well... It caused a real perspective shift on what was possible. Incredible experience for a fair price.

Siamo stai a pranzo. Locale trovato per caso. Ma devo dire che è stato veramente una buona esperienza sulla cucina bolognese. Il locale è molto carino, tenuto benissimo e il personale era qualificato e gentilissimo. I piatti ordinati erano più che soddisfacenti, e hanno reso piacevoli le aspettative che avevamo. Pranzo molto buono. Consigliatissimo

Possibly one of the best meals in Bologna. It was done very clean, simple, fresh in the best way. We ordered the tortellini soup, tagliatelle ragu, and pork dish, tomato salad on the side, and the best mascarpone all for sharing. Wine selection was top notch we got a Sangiovese romagna red wine. Thank you to Francesca for the best service, for being so intentional i. Making sure our orders were split into two to avoid any mess and the great food wine suggestions for me and my dad. Would definitely come back
